HRZN Solutions Ltd. is an artificial intelligence (AI) consultancy dedicated to bringing intelligent solutions and advanced technology to clients working in complex operational environments, to improve business performance, optimisation and output. The significance of emerging AI methodologies is becoming increasingly relevant in contemporary business, but not every organisation has the capability or time to implement them in-house. HRZN's mission is to support organisations through the adoption of such technology; blending comprehensive analysis, solution design and deployment through a flexible implementation cycle that defines and reports each step of the process, as to ensure full transparency throughout the project lifecycle.

The company was founded by Daniel S. Roll, its Principal Consultant, following years of research and experience developing AI technologies within the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) sector. Dan started his career as an engineer, before returning to academia and developing skills in classical computing, data science and statistics. He completed his MSc in Artificial Intelligence, and was subsequently awarded studentship on the STFC-funded NUdata CDT, studying the development and application of AI technologies within the SSA domain. During his PhD, Dan has authored multiple international publications on contemporary AI techniques, and his team's research on Large-Language Model benchmarking was recently awarded EPSRC funding, on which he works to consolidate the project for continuation following his departure from academia. Dan is an active member of the space and defence communities, working closely with organisations within the sector, and is a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
